Effective 1 October 2026
Track My Adventure shares your location with the people you choose, during the events you set up. This explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We don't sell your information, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (to sign you in), and the name and handle you choose. Your name is shown on updates you post; your handle is part of your event links. Your email is never shown to followers.
- Location, during tracking only: when you start tracking an event, the app sends your position about every 5 minutes, including in the background, until you stop or the event ends. We don't collect location at any other time.
- SPOT positions: if you connect a SPOT device to an event, we read that device's positions from SPOT during the event.
- Updates and photos: notes and photos you post. Before upload, the app removes the photo's metadata. If the photo has a location, or was taken during the event, we use that to place it on the map.
- Event details: titles, times, courses and the people you invite to help.
- Technical: a sign-in token and an ID for each phone you pair to an event, so we know the positions are yours.
Who can see it
Your event page is public to anyone with its link: the course, your positions during the event, and the updates and photos you post. The positions of an event that hasn't started or has ended are not shown live. Crew you invite can see and manage the event.
Services we use
We use Cloudflare to run the service and store data and photos, Resend to send sign-in emails, and Railway to fetch SPOT positions. Maps on the event page load tiles from OpenStreetMap and Esri. These providers process data only to provide their service.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and events until you delete them. Deleting an event removes its positions, updates and photos. Deleting your account removes everything above.
Your choices
- Stop tracking at any time in the app, or turn off location access in iOS Settings.
- Delete an event, or your whole account (Account → Delete account), in the app.
- Email support@trackmyadventure.com to get a copy of your data, correct it or delete it.
Children
Track My Adventure isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
